About Us

Welcome to Lone Wolf Goalkeeper Academy, based in Surrey and West Sussex.

My name is Connor, I'm a lifelong football fan (Charlton, unfortunately!) and a goalkeeping enthusiast. Seeing Dean Kiely in goal as a very young child was enough to persuade me that being a GK was the only option.

As a child, I was lucky enough to experience playing academy football at Fulham, Chelsea, and Crystal Palace. Playing at some fantastic venues and with some great coaches. I've also been very lucky to have some brilliant GK coaches from a very young age all the way through. Coaches who worked and still work in the professional game.

One thing I picked up along the way and took into my coaching is to keep things simple. Equipment is great, but ultimately, training should reflect what a keeper sees on a match day. Training should replicate match realistic situations, isolate the technical aspects of it, and then develop the skills required to improve. Distribution is key for any goalkeeper looking to succeed now and is incorporated into every session. Sessions are then broken down into three key areas, crossing, 1v1's, and shot-stopping.

As well as my passion for goalkeeping, I teach PE across various primary schools in Surrey & West Sussex with Visionary Sports Academy, and more recently, being able to work with the goalkeepers at Visionary Football Academy's post-16 education programme based out of South Park FC.

Goalkeepers often stand alone, the last line of defence, the one who carries the weight of the game. At LWGKA, you are never alone. You become part of a pack that supports, challenges, and grows together.

Our Services

1-1's

Tailored 1-on-1 goalkeeper sessions are designed to meet the specific needs of each individual keeper, no matter their age or skill level. These sessions provide focused, personalized coaching that targets key areas such as shot-stopping, positioning, footwork, handling, and modern distribution techniques. I also place a strong emphasis on the mental side of goalkeeping — building confidence, resilience, and game intelligence. Each session is built around the keeper’s goals and development path, ensuring maximum progress in a supportive, high-intensity environment. Whether you're preparing for trials, sharpening your game mid-season, or pushing toward elite performance, 1-on-1 training gives you the edge.

2-1's

2-on-1 goalkeeper sessions offer the perfect balance between individual attention and competitive challenge. Designed for two keepers of similar age or ability, these sessions allow for focused technical development while introducing pressure-based drills and game-like scenarios. With a strong emphasis on communication, decision-making, and modern distribution, keepers not only refine their own skills but also learn from each other in a dynamic, high-energy environment. Each session is customized to meet the specific needs of both goalkeepers, ensuring personal growth and a sense of teamwork — because even lone wolves train best with their pack.

Group Sessions

Tailored small group sessions are ideal for club goalkeepers or keepers from different teams looking to train together in a focused, high-performance setting. Designed for 3–6 goalkeepers, these sessions combine technical development with realistic game scenarios, allowing for high reps, position-specific coaching, and competitive pressure. Whether it's working with a club’s goalkeeper unit or a mixed group of keepers, each session is structured to meet the collective and individual needs of the group. With a strong focus on modern goalkeeping — including distribution, decision-making, and communication — group sessions create an environment where goalkeepers push each other, grow together, and build the mental and physical sharpness needed to dominate their box.

Match Analysis & Performance Report

The Match Analysis & Performance Report service offers goalkeepers in-depth feedback based on real game situations. I will attend your match to observe and analyse your performance, focusing on key areas such as positioning, decision-making, communication, distribution, shot-stopping, and overall presence. After the game, you’ll receive a detailed, personalized report outlining strengths, areas for improvement, and tailored recommendations to help elevate your game. This service is ideal for goalkeepers who want to bridge the gap between training and match day, gaining valuable insights to sharpen their performance where it matters most — on the pitch.
